Color Collage Poem
Dried strands and bleached hair
artfully placed greens
pinks
reds
and blues
striping and covering
each head
from inky black to
bright neon green
chameleons of color
style and length
to be different or
stand out or shout
blatant cries of
notice me
see me
I'm different
chameleons of color
can sometimes
hide behind those shades
Author's Note: My idea for this poem came from a hair dye ad in one of the magazine. I cut out the image because it was the exact shade of pink that I dyed the ends of my hair the summer before my sophomore year.

The line "chameleons of color" does an effective job of exemplifying the variety of color.
